Does anyone have any idea where the launch is happening on Wed? Can representatives from clubs go? I know whats going to be said and stuff but ultimately its all of us who are involved who are going to be affected by this, so why it so on the QT? shouldnt all clubs have been notified of this event? Afterall, it is to be a major step forward in the development of our game?

Women's development plan published

The FAI Women's Development Plan was launched today in Dublin by the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism John O’Donoghue. The plan which will receive a €250,000 grant from the sports council has a number of aims including increasing participation in the game, more female coaches, development of new talent and restructuring of competitions including the launch of a national league.

The plan focusses on the key areas of "introduction to football", "club and league development", "emerging talent programme" and "international". Susan Ronan has been appointed national co-ordinator and advertisements have been placed to recruit development officers to concentrate solely on the women's game.

There seems to be a lot of effort put into the plan....it reads easy and looks impressive. Good to see that most of the structures are planned to be implemented this year or next.

Only had a quick glance at it last nite as was too tired to assimilate the info so will get stuck into it properly over the weekend, but so far, top notch.
