Fans of other clubs might wonder why they should care but think of it this way, what night would you prefer coming to the Showgrounds on, Friday or Saturday?

I think that all EL fans should sign this petition as I think that all EL clubs should look out for each other and it will also benefit the league if Sligo's attendences don't drop.

For visiting fans saturday night is the best option. Moving it back to friday wont make any difference to the attendance overall. You might have a marginal home increase but away fans will disappear.

This absolute obsession with friday night football is ludicrous. Only derbies should be on fridays.

I did it but with a heavy heart coz its prob the players that want it changed. Keith being the ring leader! He convinced us to change from Sunday afternoons to Friday evenings to facilitate players being able to have some family time on Saturdays and Sundays or being able to have somewhat of a social life at the weekend without the match hanging over them later in the weekend.

It was different when talking bout Mons...the way I looked at it was that we dont pay them enough to own them and they do deserve a bit of a life! I did sign it but feel sorry for them being prisioners of Sligo Rovers!!!

the city game is now on 21st of july rather than 22nd which means i have too take two working days off rather than one ill still go but i am not happy about it
