Trouble logging in [Archive]

I'm having problems signing in with my computer(using old one for this post). I sign in the the top corner and the "thanks for signing in" message pops up and then that's it, I'm logged out again. Any suggestions?:confused:.

Are cookies set restrictively on the old machine? What browser is it?

My computer remembers my login details so I'm automatically logged in when I come on. Can you set yours like that?
