GUST will be adding E1,000 to our weekly Lotto jackpot for
every round of the FAI Cup the first team get through.

This weeks draw is in Doc Watsons on Sunday night for a jackpot
of E2,450. If GUFC knock out Athlone Town, and the jackpot is not
won on Sunday night, the top prize on the Bank Holiday weekend
will be E3,450.

If we win the FAI Cup, GUST will have added E5,000 to the jackpot !

I've a feeling that thejackpot will be staying at €2,450.
What are the odds on Lavine getting the winner :)

The only way that the jackpot would stay at E2,450 would be if the draw was abandoned if no-one turned up.

There might be a child to mind, or we might have all been out the night before

very unlikely seeing that he never tracks back making it impossible to score the o.g.:) ;)

do you know what the pitch is looking like for friday night Ash? Do you think it can hold much more rain like weve seen over the past weekend?

I'm sure someone in the stand would look after the child if need's be :D

Pitch is in Ok condition at the moment as far as I know. I'll try to get
down there after work and have a proper look.

It'll be nice to be back in Athlone, one of our last visits there before it takes its place in history... I won't miss it.

We'll be there at least one more time in the league....if not 2.
But you're right it will be a bit special on Friday....last real big match between us and "de Athlone" in Mels.
Come on Utd!!!

Well i know one or two who were saying at the Mons game we'd get 400!!
We will have around 250....it wouldn't surprise me if we got 350.

It really is impossible to predict how many will show up.

I know a good few lads that were all up for it but now have decided not to go and concentrate on the Corrib Rangers 6-a-side tournament that starts the day after. Anyway, we always get a good travelling support going to athlone and Im sure it will be no different come friday night.

No offence, Terry, but I don't know how going to a game in Athlone
the night before could affect these lads chances of winning the Corrib Rangers tournament.

It could be one of these "I have to clean the bathroom" excuses, or even worse, one of Eire06's specials;)

Actually, anyone driving to the game from Galway note that
the laneway down to Mels will be closed off from 6:30pm.

Is it safe enough to use the car park in that shopping area before you enter st. mels avenue?

Also there is a pub on a roundabout (at the opposite end of the car park from st.mels ave.) in athlone town, do you know the name of it? A lot of people usually meet up there before heading to the match.
