In what for me was the best HOME performance of the season Cobh Ramblers proved to be far too strong for Dundalk winning by 3-1 today. This was a very good all round team performance with the team playing very good football. Rams goals came from Kevin Murray and man of the match Davin O'Neill getting the other two. Dundalk's goal, which I am sure Stephen will not be happy with, came in injury time, at which time Rams could easily have been six up and not just 3. Kevin Murray & David Breen were very solid at the back and Darran Murphy is now providing the muscle and steel in the middle of the pitch that was missed when he was injured. In attack Davin, Dave Warren, Mikey O'Shea and young Garreth Cambridge all proved to be a handful for the Dundalk rearguard. It is also very encouraging to see that the manager with so many experienced players injured has the confidence to have young upcoming players like Graham Cummins and Brendan O'Sullivan on the bench

I agree Eddie it was the best home performance which is encouraging. The first half I thought we were muscled off the ball easily but the second half we kept the ball on the ground and did a lot better Dundalk could not cope with the fast passing game. Lets hope for the double next week.come on the Rams

I agree, best home performance of the season so far, it could have been 5 or 6 and that was because the team played that well.
It would be hard to change this side and the players who were out injured could struggle to get back into the team.
Next week though will be very tough as I reckon Dundalk will be all out to get revenge but Ramblers are playing so well at the moment.

Rms were terrific throughout the game and i have to say Davin O Neill was superb he really has come on leaps and bounds since joining the club last season.

Great performance all round. Was particulary impressed with James McCarthy in goal keeping out Packie Holden.Any attack they had he snuffed out.Even though Muckie is a waste at full back the defence are now rock solid.MOM again for me only slightly ahead of Dav.
