i like the fact that the speranza responded to my generalisation with an indignant generalisation of his own

How did you ever spot that? I never intended that at all!.....that free state education system really is a mess ;)

Congrats RTID, you managed to turn another thread into a juvenile bitch fight.

A sweeping general statement
Its not that long ago that practically every visiting side to the bradywell got bricks pinged at them, now is it..... is followed up with

twice my bus has been attacked by stonethrowers, one incident of which was discussed here, and apologised for by DCFC fans.
Congratulations on successfully extrapolating one from the other.

For a moment I thought you'd just jumped to a sensationalist and ridiculous conclusion based on limited information (something that Rovers fans often accuse others on here of doing everytime there is a "handbag" incident reported from one of your games).

I'm sure anyone from Limerick on here wouldn't accept being called "stabber" and you wouldn't accept being called a "Dublin car stealing-glue-sniffing-joy-riding-cash-in-transit-robbing-refugee-pimping-junkie".

Derry were well the better side and deserved the win. Very impressive and will be up there again come end of the season. We on the other hand were very poor. No shape, no bite nothing. Very disappointing. Saying that im gonna stay positive for now....were playing sh*te and still third. Hopefully we can actually start playing soon

One could only admire anyone so versatile to carry out such a broad range of pursuits :)

Well it is actually. Try "never"

As for "bottle throwers" being an oft-used nickname for people from Derry anywhere - let alone Dublin - I know 10 year olds who wouldn't have the nerve to make-up something so blatantly ballax as that. If it is such a common nickname, then no doubt the other Dublin people on here will confer its wide-spread usage....

I love the irony of a resident of the only part of Ireland to have seen major rioting this year (Dublin) suggesting that other towns have public order issues. For everything else in life there's Mastercard.......

I can safely say that I have never heard that in my life, until now.
Then again, are you surprised? RTID has made a habit of using abusive terms on this forum.

calm down boys, it was a throwaway comment.
the phrase is occasionally used to describe derry due to the history of civil disobedience and the fact away fans occasionally leave under a hail of missiles.
heaven forbid we bring these things up...
