Seeing as the season is practically over, maybe its time to get the ball rolling. Any early/potential transfer targets being mentioned around the city?

but once Corbally go up then I think they will be looking to add to their squad.

For their sake, they'd better hope its not like their last foray into the premier.....

Because he likes to party at the weekends....he couldn't do that at Pike

Spot on, that plus the fact he wouldnt get in the Pike side next season anyway.

He should have seen out the season, got his Prem medal (and maybe a Touhy) and then left.

Any Ideas on what type of registration lists or pages you would like on the LDMC site for the start of next season? I would hope to post all registrations as they are made and follow this up with all transfers. your input would be appreciated.

Old Keeper,
From your posts I presume you are the "Website man" so feared by the older brigade in LDMC. Take a bow for trying to bring the LDMC into the 21st century.
However you better beware because certain people have made it be known that nobody messes with "my fixtures".
As regards Registration of players, unless all clubs lists are accesable it will make no difference. Clubs should be able to go online after games to check if the opposition were legal or not.
How about putting list of yellow cards to see who should be suspended.
Keep up the good work.

postscript
Relegate Ballynanty and Carew Park for match fixing. At least Mungret and Hill Celtic will play fairly.

Hi Thanks for your comments on the site.
You are right re the posting of all clubs players, and that is the proposed route,
With regard to yellow and red cards there is some heated discussion but there will be a system of informing all clubs that players have been suspended. this might mean logging on and seeing a red flag in front of the club on the league table, but the other clubs will have to get fair warning that the team they are playing has a suspended player or two.
I know that some clubs have proposed photographic registration for next season and this would make it very easy to post the club squad on the site and check if players are who they say they are, it also makes competitions for players player of the year etc easy.
Players who get yellow and red cards will be posted in passworded folders on the site so there will be no escape.

Let your club delegates to the AGM know what way you want them to vote on proposed rule changes etc.

maybe they will stay if as u say aisling will be adding to the squad but they dont seem to be enjoying playing with a few of their players hurley and dalton are driving them mad apparently and a few more. look this is only rumour im sure they ll be playing with ul and will be challenging for lots of cups and trophies cause both top players.

Lot of talk about Declan considine being the next manager off the hoops with Declan casey as his assistant...... Lot of pike players wont be too happy with
that choice,it'll be intresting to see if fatso is asked to sign or will he stick with fitzpatrick... Will hartnett be happy with the management team.
Any reason for Pa mull stepping down,or is there a rift there between the commitee and pa..

The following is what Ive heard (just rumours).

Declan Considine will be next Pike manager with Tommy Lynch his side kick (if Hill Celtic are relegated, if not then probably Declan Casey).

Pa Moloney will not be signing with Pike next season nor will Martin O'Neill (Nabs).

Pa Mull to be next manager of Corbally.

Lou Quigley will not be playing Prem football next season.

Alan Barry will be staying with the Boro for the start of the season at least.

And finally, also heard that there is unrest up at Carew Pk and that they will be lucky to keep the majority of their team for next season.

Pests on the team - can you explain yourself???

foot2
07/06/2006, 7:24 AM
Don't need to explain.. everyone knows that the team is full of messers that leave them selfs and there loyal supporters down.... No harm if they had some bit of cop on they would win a lot more than what they have already achieved. A new pitch/club-house might also attract more players to the club to build a decent squad...

Would you agree?

NO I WOULDN'T AGREE - sweeping statement
Balla are the most succesfull team in limerick in the last 3/4 years
2 leagues/2 touhys/2 lawsons although they have failled to deliver in the big 2 comps like fairview the still got to - 1 MJC final/1 MJC semi and FAI semi & quarter - to say the team is full of messers and pests is a joke - there might be 1 or 2 but thats it

you are a bit confused, in fairness to balla they have some quality players but as i said before zero facilities.
as previous poster stated you don't win all those trophies with messers.
maybe dermot finnan will attract some more quality players if rumours are correct !

there is nothing definite that there is a job vacant - i would not think that Mr finnan would do it for free and i don't think that balla cud pay anyone
