i reckon that man for man that team could be just as good as us if not better. Sometimes when i look at the team i think .. i dont recognise any of them players so they mustn't be that special. The only thing is that czech people would say the exact same thing about us.

The midfield looks strong to me .. thats if nedved is still around and then upfront Koller will always be awkward and baros is still a decent striker - especially at international level.

Tomas Rosicky is the man to look out for and Baros is top class at international level. I did think they were pretty ordinary against a poor Norway side in the Play offs though. Nedved will be gone I reckon and Poborsky also.

Surprised Jiri Jarosik has been left out, has he got injured or something as I thought he would've been a dead cert for the squad  Fine player on his day.

Nedved will be gone I reckon and Poborsky also.
Most likely Koller (33), Lokvenc (33), Smicer (33) and Galasek (33) too. That's pretty much their top 4 most infuencial players gone (plus Smicer and Lokvenc). Baros will be lost without Koller. Koller was injured for most of the internationls this season and Baros was rarely scoring. Even when Koller doesn't play Lokvenc usuaully does and Lokvenc will probably be retiring too.

We might aswell have Germany's squad in here too:

Goalkeepers: Jens Lehmann (Arsenal), Oliver Kahn (Bayern Munich), Timo Hildebrand (VfB Stuttgart)

Defenders: Arne Friedrich (Hertha Berlin), Robert Huth (Chelsea), Marcell Jansen (Borussia Moenchengladbach), Philipp Lahm (Bayern Munich), Per Mertesacker (Hanover 96), Christoph Metzelder (Borussia Dortmund), Jens Nowotny (Bayer Leverkusen)

Midfielders: Michael Ballack (Bayern Munich), Tim Borowski (Werder Bremen), Torsten Frings (Werder Bremen), Sebastian Kehl (Borussia Dortmund), Bernd Schneider (Bayer Leverkusen), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich), Thomas Hitzlsperger (VfB Stuttgart), David Odonkor (Borussia Dortmund)

Forwards: Gerald Asamoah (Schalke 04), Miroslav Klose (Werder Bremen), Oliver Neuville (Borussia Moenchengladbach), Lukas Podolski (Cologne), Mike Hanke (Werder Bremen).
Older players from that squad:
Lehmann (36), Kahn (37), Nowotny (32), Schneider (33), Oliver Neuville (33).

It's a fairly young squad.
