All in all not too bad IMO, unbeaten at home and only 9 points off top after 10 games

Mixed to be honest, we should have beaten pats at home which would have given us 13pts. IMO were just 2 or 3 players away from been a real top side. I really believe that. Think the only reason ohara looks dogy on the deck is becauce the pitch is so bad, it shoud be remnamed the bobblegrounds, even when its cut its still tebbible. Pitch should be watered then rolled every day for a month. What you think???

Ya The pitch really does hinder football and was very noticeable on saturday nite. Faz in my opinion had a great game but kept having to take another touch in the second half after beating his man because the ball wouldn't sit. It also took a really bad bobble one time and he ended putting the ball over the end line.

I Think we have had a great start. we are a promoted team so realistically mid table should be the extent of ambitions this season.

Overall we have to be happy alright, realistically we couldnt have expected to get anything from the Cork or Derry away games.
Lets hope the momentum is kept up......rumours I heard on Saturday re Connor wandering his eyes across the pond doesnt sit well however.

A win against Bray next weekend and it will be a very good start to the season.

if we beat bray it'll be a great start considering every game has been a learning process&the side is still settling.

Apaprently applied for the Walsall job but didnt make the shortlist, I heard it at the game Saturday night but you know how Sligo is for rumours.
If true considering the many UK jobs now open for application he may be busy on his laptop sending off job apps.

Any UK side would be mental to take him on he hasnt proven himself really yet. Ok he won promotion last year from a very poor league but without doubt he had the best squad in that division. Rovers had three managers in the nineties all in a row that went on to coach and manage in England and Scotland all have been fairly successful in their own way, cant see him emulating any of them.

Agreed Redbellied, we all know he wants to manage in England and become a big time manager however leaving Rovers during the close season in England is obviously mid way through our season, a receipe for disaster IMO.
One thing Seanie isnt lacking is confidence however!!!

Yeah it would be madness now if he was to go middle of season, cant see that happening or his dream job in England.

very negative attitude there red bellied i think he could emulate them all. however i doubt he would want to leave us at this stage for any old crappy uk job when he can see the potential here .

i don't know how any1 could write sean off already. i doubt his achievements thus far would get him into a great job(no higher than conference) but the potential the club has could get him a decent job in two years if we continue to make the progress we have over the past year&a bit
