I'd like to see more of an emphasis on travelling to away games, as this has tended to be confined (at least in terms of organisation) to the Ballybofey and Stranolar SC.
I remember the words of the current paid official at the club/Commercial Manager/Treasurer. 'I dont do away games' :o .

Point being? Also, what's it got to do with you? Please stop hi-jacking threads to slag Harps/Ian Curristan ad nauseum.
This thread is about eL Supporters Clubs: now can it be kept that way!

No need for that Chris. The post mentioned an 'emphasis on travelling to away games' and this is often a major purpose of supporters club. I've quoted the commercial manager on how he regarded away games. I'm not here to slag off Finn Harps. The Donegal Democra/local press do that as a matter of course whether it relates to supporters abusing players (their own as well as opposition) and management or a Finn Harps 'fan' throwing a bottle (bud I believe) at the Shamrock Rovers goalkeeper. You have problem enough attracting people to home games to be concerning yourselves with away games. Thats my opinion and I'm sure I'm entitled to offer it.

I would discect your post and brand it as another inane rambling. However, I don't have the time.
I'm off to do an exam now and then head to Athlone. Yes, I concern myself with away games - that's my business. Don't tell me what I should and shouldn't concern myself with!

You have to take everything Strabane Harp says with a shovel of salt if your to look at his post previous to yours. He may well spout off on the Harps forum about me been insane but he wont say it directly here. In any case Strabane Harp has not nor never has been a doctor or medical professional of any sort so he's not in a position to diagnose anyone. Does he not waiver in supporting Harps and Derry when it suits him. Strabane Harp generally doesn't have anything constructive to add and usually goes off topic.
Your been generous in touting a figure of 500 attending Finn Park.
My apologies in advance to everyone but it had to be said.If Strabane Harp wants to come on here and say I'm 'insane' then by all means do so dont mind cowering behind somebody elses post.

Go back a few posts Patrick and rephrase that question accordingly. I mentioned in response to Aidan's/Galway Harps call for away support what the position of the commercial manager of Finn Harps was in relation to away games. Pretty valid observation in relation to that club and ultimately support of that club.

many people cant make away games due to work and family commitments brendan, have you thought maybe thats a reason for Mr Curristan?
I used to be at 90% of away games when i was based in strabane, now i get 2 or 3 a season as its impossible to get to more

I'm more concerned Mr Aitken with what you were trying to get at with this post in relation to me. Nothing to do with football at all. If you have something to say by all means say it.

Lads, this thread is about supporters clubs.
Swap emails if you want to bitch at one another as this is embarrassing. Seriously.

Whats embarassing is brendans constant obsession with Harps, a team he says he doesnt care about any longer, yet he constantly snipes from the sidelines at them.
If you dont care for Harps dont bother with them.
As for Supporters clubs, without the network of supporters clubs i doubt any club in this league could survive, they are the unpaid volunteer network that keep every club going. A club could survive longer without a board than it could without its supporters clubs.

I haven't a clue what is going on in this thread now. Started off as a decent thread too.

Moderation :
Lads, this was split from the Supporters Clubs thread in eL section. There doesn't seem to be anything out of order here but lads dont let it get out of hand.
Can Admin please lock this thread. Thses two used tos turn almost every post on the main harps forum into an argument between themselfs. As rodney says if you want to b*tch to each other swap emails or do it face to face. Otherwise shut the f*ck up and jog on

Tried desperately to read what you're trying to post there Neish but the grammer isn't up to much. There hasn't been a post on this argument in 4 days Neish. Not quite sure where you think you are. No need to lock a thread that isn't generating much debate. If its Harps your looking for though try the Eircom League forum.
