I was just wondering about the u21s. Does anyone think it would be beneficial to these players if there was a rule that would allow them to play junior football as long as they dont play senior matches with Limerick.

I mean you have a few really good players with the u21s, Danagher and clarke from wembley, Ryan from balla. These players probably wont see first team football this year so they are only playing a match every 2 or 3 months with the 21s. Whereas if there was a rule saying they could play junior as long as they dont play senior then they could play every week. This surely would only benefit them. Then if they play a senior match they can no longer play junior football.

I dont know just an idea.

That's a good idea. It is ridiculous to have young players kicking their heels for a huge part of the year when really at that age all you want to do is play ball. The u21 season is too short - even the games being played now are part of friendly tournament. Maybe not to have them playing with junior sides while the u21 season is running - but they should be allowed to switch between the junior season and the u21 season easily IMO.
