Apparently he'd just time-travelled back form our Champions League victory in 2028, and thought he'd catch the team in their earlier days. :)
Though I don't think much of his new assistant. Bring back Billie Piper.....! :D
Is the guy on the right one of the members of the Bay City Rollers?

I hope he made sure to materialise the TARDIS in a nice secluded place. The sight of such an iconic image of Britain as a Police Telephone Box on the Bogside I's say wouldn't go down too well with some of the residents.
He's no Tom Baker btw:)

Apparently he was there filming for the BBC series - Who do you think you are?
The show is about tracing the ancestors of "celebrities" - tracing back through the family tree.
David Tennant's grandfather played for Derry City in the 1930s (according to MariborKev)

Like we've never had red phone-boxes or post boxes in the Bogside.....
Truth is that he time-travelled back from our 3:2 victory over Barcelona in the 2028 Champions League Final. He wanted to claim he'd caught a City game back in the days before we became a major force in European football....:D

His phone box is blue....
And Dr Who could never be a Candystripe. It would be so wrong the universe would clearly implode....
By the way, next weeks Dr Who should be deadly :)

Aye, his grandfather Archie McLeod played in the Derry sides of the 1930s.
There were loads of auld boys coming up to him and telling him about their memories of his grandad.
He was loving it, and Gareth so as yor universe doesn't implode, you'll just have to wait and see the footage of his renditions of "We are live in the Randy Brandywell";)

I thought it was great to see David Tennant at the match...it's not too often one sees a celebrity at an Eircom League game. It also supplied a nice distraction from the beating we were taking on the pitch! He's a good Doctor Who, as well!

Thanks for stating the obvious Gareth. Care to remind us all what colour grass is as well... ?
The post I responded to was talking about "iconic images of Britain". Hence why i mentioned iconic images, like the red phone box, like the red post box, like - ahhhh forget it. Sensible explanations are wasted on some people....
I was just reading about him in the paper over the weekend, he was in Derry researching his family tree for a programme on BBC to be aired in the next few months.

Being honest looking at the hairstyles and general dishevelled nature of the lads I thought they had just time-travelled forward from 1978  :D
