Can anyone recommend a recent album that I can listen too? I'm bored with what I've been hearing recently and I need a change. All suggestions will be greatfully appreciated, doesn't have to fit into any category, as I'll listen to anything!

Turn off the bright lights is much better Dassa. Many felt Antics was disappointing in comparison but i like it.

Dont get me wrong loved both albums but the tune NARC was the tune that made Interpol one of my favourites. Third album should hopefully be out soon then we will be able to decide were they stand,

Don't think thye have released a date for the new album or indeed given any major news about it but I can't wait.

Interpol at Oxegen last year was the best gig I have ever seen. Can never see another gig beating it.

I like the cut of your jib.
If you want something else to listen to, there's loads of great albums from the last 40 years or so. Surely you haven't listened to them all.

If you still want something from 2006, get The Life Pursuit from Belle & Sebastian.

I've also been ploughing through myspace.com after pandora recommended a few artists.

I've ituned to a Ben Harper album Live from Mars as a result.

I must look out for that.

While I always loved the music of the first album, since getting "Don't stand me down" at Christmas it's been a firm favourite.

Maybe not for the purists but

The Zutons - Tired Of Hanging Around

Good summer tunes.

An absolute classic in my opinion. Not a dud track on it. Then again it's very hard to find a poor track on any Dexy's album.

Yea seen them only once, supporting Coldplay. they were class but the crowds didnt really seem to take to them that well to busy waiting for Chris to tell them something inspirational. I heard that Interpol once played Belfast in front of about 50 fans maybe just after turn off the bright lights, now that would have been some gig to be at.

Absolutely Antics is good but Turn on the Bright Lights is a masterpiece. The best album this millenium IMO. A lot of people have only heard Antics, its a shame.

:( Its hard to hear they were so good at oxegen last year, I was there but I had only just begun to listen to them and thought I better see Kasabian(who were, in fairness, also class). Hope they play here soon.
