Really thought Sligo would give Cork a tougher game, obviously I wasn't at the game but the scoreline suggests it was no big challenge for Cork - well done Cork - good come back from friday nights result. Sligo you guys seem to be more of a home team type of outfit but still well done on holding Shels at the weekend.

Shamrock Rovers a good result but did Pats have their 1st team out (not being smart - just wondering). A bit of a stall in the last few league games but last night should give a lot of confidence for the weekend (who are you playing?)

Cobh at 'home'.

Cobh aren't doing very well this season so hopefully we can pick up three points there to set up a cracking top-of-the-table clash with Dundalk in Oriel tomorrow week. It'll be like the old days again ;)

6 of the first XI, 2 lads made their first start.

Rovers played seven first team regulars. We also had our fourth and fifth choice strikers playing.

I thought Sligo were actually pretty good going forward but their strikers werent the best and couldnt finish their dinner by the looks of it!

I think 2-0 was about right,we played some really good football in the last 15 minutes of the first half, some of the best ive seen in a while and the second half was a bit subdued because the game was over as far as the result was concerned.

Fair play to Sligo for having the courage to come down and play some football:D

Very strange to rest players when league cup can be easy route to the Setanta Cup next season.

Think JOhnny Mac put a side out he thought would easily deal with Rovers.

He was wrong.
