Bray Wanderers have announced that Scottish club Livingston will visit the Carlisle Grounds in early July.

The Seagulls' postponed match against Longford Town has now also been fixed.


Bray have also arranged to move their home match against Drogheda United, to avoid clashing with the World Cup Quarter-Finals.

A number of further consequential changes have been agreed.

The full list of amended and additional fixtures is as follows:
Tuesday 16 May Bray Wanderers v Longford Town, kickoff 7.45pm
Sunday 21 May Bray Wanderers v Sligo Rovers, kickoff 3.15pm
Sunday 2 July Bray Wanderers v Drogheda United, kickoff 3.15pm
Thursday 6 July Bray Wanderers v Livingston FC, kickoff 7.45pm
Sunday 9 July Bray Wanderers v UCD, kickoff 3.15pm

Tuesday night? Grand. I had a weird feeling they might rearrange the match for the same night as the CL or Uefa Final.

Don't know. The only home fixture we had last year on a Sunday was against Shamrock Rovers.

Apparently, so their fans couldn't drink beforehand. :D

ah for gods sake!!!!!!

Sunday football is a disaster!!! We never get any fans in on a sunday. First the jersey we all like goes then this! No wonder we cant hold on to fans. :mad:

I'm sure Sligo will bring a decent following on a Sunday as they normally did on a Sunday in the past. Drogheda should also have a decent following also. UCD on a Sunday will be the same crowd as a Friday night. Let's hope the Sunday fixtures don't clash with big GAA fixtures on TV. I'm sure a lot of other clubs will be looking at their Friday night fixtures during the world cup - particulary the q/final night. At least our club has given plenty on notice.

I'm sure Sligo will bring a decent following on a Sunday as they normally did on a Sunday in the past.Bray games used to be dead handy when ye played on Sundays, morning train up, dart out to the Carlisle, pick up 3 points(:p), dart back and evening train home. But then ye advanced and got yer floodlights and moved to Friday nights:mad:...

Bray announce Livingston friendly


eircom League Premier Division side Bray Wanderers will take on Scottish outfit Livingston in a pre-season friendly at the Carlisle Grounds in July. Livingston will make the trip to the north Wicklow town to take on the Seagulls on Thursday, July 6th next with a kick-off of 7.45pm.

The Lions have endured a torrid time in the Scottish Premier League this season and having won just four of their 35 league games, are doomed to relegation to the First Division.

Now here is a game that, if Bray are worth their salt, will win hands down.

Livingston are pitiful recently and probably have s second team they wouldn't put near a pub, not to mind a pitch so it would have to be their first team you are playing. Either way .... if Bray are any good then you should give these guys something to remember.

And what a great day and night that was:D Roo can confirm!

IMO in the summer playing on a sunday is the biz. Also for any away fans who have to travel its convenient. Always thought it was harsh for Derry to come down on a friday. One time they were late:eek:

Ever hear the terms full-time and part-time? They are a full-time team and Bray are mostly part-time. That's why I believe any result other then a defeat would be good for us.
