Friday Sportsnight on RTE Radio

With the attention focusing on Saturday night’s Setanta Sports Cup final between Drogheda United and Cork City, it may be a quieter Friday night than normal in the eircom League, but RTE Radio’s Friday Sportsnight will be on duty once more with plenty of updates and interviews.

There are just two eircom League games down for decision on the night, both of which centre around the bottom half of the Premier Division table. Winless pair Waterford United and Longford Town go head-to-head at the RSC, while there is a tenants-versus-landlords city derby at Dalymount Park where Dublin City “host” Bohemians.

Lifted from another forum !!

Not sure if many people listen to this because most Friday's we're all at the games and miss the radio coverage of the eircom League.

However, RTÉ put all their match reports and post match interviews on their website, covering all eircom League games.

There is an interesting pre-season interview (looking at to the Champions League, on winning the league etc) with Rico Here (http://www.rte.ie/radio1/sport/rams/2006/fs_10march_1.smil)

You need Real Player to play the audios.

I had a listen last night. There was a two part interview with Devo. Only caught the first part. There was a lot of criticism from texts about him doing the two jobs at once. This issue was addressed in the interview and he seemed to ambiguously insinuate he might be stepping down at Bray? He said something about changes coming soon.

Apparently players' parents come to him asking for advice.
