Dublin Hosts Social Dialogue Meeting


Ireland recently played host to players unions and league representatives from western Europe in what was the third chapter of the Social Dialogue in European Football project which is held under the auspices of the European Commission. European Parliament member, Eoin Ryan, welcomed the delegates and outlined the importance of the social dialogue process in football.

He also encouraged players and clubs to continue finding ways to tackle the issues concerning the transfer system, players contracts, training compensation and particularly players education and welfare. Spanish players union chief and FIFPro vice president, Gerardo Movilla, said FIFPro are delighted to bring the Social Dialogue meeting to Dublin
