Turner hit with Sligo ban

April 16, 2006

Sligo Rovers midfielder Chris Turner has been hit with a further one-match ban arising from his red card against Longford Town last month.

Turner, the Northern Ireland youth international signed from Derby County, has been unable to make much of an impression to date, having already served a suspension as well as missing the meeting with Dublin City with a foot injury.

He returned to the side for Saturday night’s clash with Waterford United, but will have to sit out the Bit O’Red’s next outing against Shelbourne on April 29th.

The FAI’s Disciplinary Commission handed down the additional ban at its meeting last week.
