I had backed Tiger in October at 5-1, don't know if his head is in any fit state to win such a Tourny, but if he's even close to the A game he's had recently then he'll win it easy.

I have Paddy H, Rory Sabbatini, Chad Campbell and Michael Campbell as each way chances.

Any thought's?? Is it only on BBC/RTE from 9 to 12 each night? Are any of the BBC 3 or 4 channels showing early play?

Mickelson is in great form, I'm thinking of putting a few quid on him to win outright. I was over in the bookies at lunchtime and it said he was 13/2 so I'll see how it goes today and make my choice tomorrow.

Mickelson is in great form.

Great win last weekend for him indeed, price too skimpy for me considering his wayward streaks. Would love him or Sergio to win it though.

Masters committee only allow that much live footage be shown. We get exactly the same as the US (and more at the weekend apparently)

McGinley double bogeyed the first

Yeah thought about him too, noticed he was 25/1. He has the talent to win and is bound to come good sooner or later.

I heard Harrington was 50/1 (40/1 now with PP) & recommended to me as eash way bet. I've also been advised to on Ernie Els on 11/1.

Apparently need to be a long hitter for Augusta to have any chance...

FFS, what's he using, a feckin' hurley? Although to be fair, he's not feeling to well. Hayfever I believe.

Paul 5 over through nine. One under is the lead though, so it's the course is making it ridiculous. He's not a big hitter anyway so it's nigh on impossible for him.

This thing may finish with a winner on 2/3 over par the way it's started off. The course generally only gets harder

That would be one of all-time worst excuses. Hayfever can be offset by various drugs & eyedrops good too.

That's just it, he had a reaction to the medication that he was taking. McGinley doesn't seem the type to make trumped up excuses. Maybe he hasn't been in the US long enough:D .

Good day in the end yesterday, wind never got up as expected. Today it's supposed to blow big time.

Vijay has obviously sorted out the putting probs of early in the season. Field nicely bunched up behind him. Paddy H did well to pull it round to only 1 over after being 3 over with four to play. Pity his putt at the last didn't drop, but he's in good nick.

Tonight should be a belter with the cut likely to move around for most of the day.

Clarke -2 and Harrington -1 are still in with a shout going into rd 3. McGinley still having trouble. +9 the last time I checked.

Donegalman Brian McElhinney has won the amateurs championship. He finished 11 over and missed the cut but wa ahaead of the other 5 amateurs. Fair play to him
