Not sure if this was done before, but I was chatting about this with a mate recently.
Whats you favourite album title?

My vote goes to
"Never mind the bollo*ks here's the Sex Pistols" Although I wasn't around at the time. This title and album just summed up all the crap was out at the time ie Emerson, Lake & Palmer, genesis yes etc. The Pistols brought something new, raw and true. All the above mentioned was nothing but 5 minute solo jobs and big stage shows, big pile of w*nk.

Dead Kennedys "Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables." Though "Frankenchrist" is rather good too.

Magnetic Fields - 69 Love Songs Did exactly what it said on the tin

Marvin Gaye - Here, My Dear The royalties from this album were used as his divorce settlement. Hence songs like "When Did You Stop Loving Me, When Did I Stop Loving You", and " I Met A Little Girl"

My fav was the Sultan's of Ping FC's classic "Casual Sex in the Cineplex"

Had great fun asking for it in the record shop when I was 17. "can I have casual sex in the cineplex please" raised a few eyebrows I can tell ya! (oh and a few offers!)

Where's Lionel Ritchie when you need him?

He'd also be able to name off the numerous HMHB album names that this thread is crying out for.Like:
Back in the D.H.S.S.
Trouble over Bridge water

In the 90s Supergrass were told that if they came up with the name for their new album they'd get some extra cash so they called it In It For The Money

Hhmmnnn... Frank Zappa must have been miffed, given his 1968 album title "We're Only In It For The Money."

I've always thought that Tom Waits should release an album called "For No Man"

A genuine title, by a band called $1,000 Dollar Wedding, is "Exile On Dame St" , which I thought was pretty good.

Ok who asked for Half Man Half Biscuit?

" Voyage To The Bottom Of the Road"
" Four Lads Who Shook The Wirral"
" Achtung Bono"

I like Joe Walsh titles myself .. one of his Live Albums
" You Bought It You Name It"

My favourite album title of the 1970's (never heard the record mind you , saw the sleeve) was by the Mekons. The cover featured a chimp sitting at a typewriter and the title : " The Quality of Mercy is Not Strnen" :D

He was already dead when Supergrass released their opus !
speaking of Zappa here's a few of his titles

" Sheik Yerbouti"
" Ship Arriving Too Late To Save a Drowning Witch "
Complete with explanatory cover Art :D
