just out of curiousity where is your preferred choice of national stadium?
if you believed the media everyone outside belfast is pro-maze, which is blantantly not the case.
Has to be Belfast, thats were the bars and hotels are. The Maze should be bulldozed and houses or something put on it.

now that there is an opportunity to do something good it would be an absolute disgrace to waste it by following some political and penny skimping idea.
i can't see how it could realistically be anywhere other than belfast.
personally i'd like to see it away from windsor, for football only (no other reason than closer viewing) and, in my mind, somewhere not too far from the odyssey area would be the ticket.

And what is an 'ultra-purpose stadium'? I think he's letting buzz words get the better of him.

I have to hand it to Norn Iron. The atmosphere at the last few games I saw on TV seems to have been tremendous. Reminds me of the "old days" at Dalymount Park when 40K were squashed in like sardines - not that it did us much good .
yea it has been great, i for one Will be happy to leave Windsor park for a new stadium, but 20,000 in a 40,000 seater stadium will kill all atmosphere.

Surely you can muster 40K for a home game ?
maybe maybe not but its to big a risk to guess. We can only go on current figures and for these qualifiers there were 18,000 applications.

Surely you can muster 40K for a home game ?
Maybe for one home again against England, the Republic or a Brazil friendly.
You don't build the stadium on that basis, it isn't sensible.
