whats wrong with the training camp .. as we know the team spirit went under the kerr regime and this is a good chance to get that back .. 30 players is a great idea as well get some new faces involved and integrated ... and would people shut the **** up about the suits heading out who knows whats gonna happen at this stage ?

Zidane have you not realised that in order to have a live and to be great craic and have a great sense of humour you must hate the FAI and Staunton and love Brian Kerr. So dont be making sensible posts.

nothing wrong with it but given the fact we arent in world cup there is not much else to talk about.
I brought up thing about FAI officials. and all I said was it would be interesting to see how many went. I did not bring the term "suits" into the "debate" tho. Altho I wish I had.....;)

Surely these last few posts have nothing to do with the this thread and are just personal attacks against me.

If you are bored go mess with your mates or shag your gf or do something worthwhile rather than **** stirring or trolling on an internet forum.
Surely these last few posts have nothing to do with the this thread and are just personal attacks against me.
Mine was. Can't speak for the rest. But if you're going to say "I am totally chilled" you deserve it. I'd do the same to anyone else on this board...

Well it was just a response to someone who said Chill out. Anyway I would rather speak about the issues that concern the Irish footballing team, rather than defend my personality.
No one commented on your personality. No back to the arguement at hand...

"You're being very picky Neil, do you work for the F.A.I. or something or are you John Delaney in disguise"

Would people just relax a small bit, it was only a throw-a-way comment. All meant in good form but taken totally way out of hand:rolleyes:
Neil, if you can't see that my comments asking were you "John Delaney in disguise" were meant as tongue in cheek" then that's your problem. I meant no offence although the stick out tongue smiley would have given it away to most people.
I didn't understand your rant after it which leads me to my next question....
Are you Siempre Red in disguise?:p ;)

I hear that Stephen Ireland won't be joining up with this training camp, injured, out for the rest of the season.

Yeah, that's right. Picked up a calf injury in training recently - http://www.mcfc.co.uk/default.sps?pageid=115&pagegid=%7BDBD12D53%2D8346%2D431D%2DA04F%2D5D0F866 4DE80%7D&newsid=321756&siteid=&pageno=3&newscategory=1051&frommonth=2&fromyear=2006&tomonth=4&toyear=2006

would carslaey make the squad?
Yes, I think he can still do a job for us if he gets back to his Everton form a couple of years ago.

carsley. good fooking grief. never did anything for us except single handedly knock us out against the turks in 2000 by trying to catch the ball in our penno area.

Somebody said it on another thread this morning, but Colin Healy may well be worth bringing along.

If we're going to discount everyone that has had a bad game then we'll need to change the whole squad.
I think he could be useful to play the holding role in a 5 man midfield. I wouldn't consider him first choice.

is the weather so bad in Ireland in May that have to go abroad for training?

Only having a laugh :)
They say at Arsenal that "Arsene knows". Maybe Stan does too!

I notice England have their training camp in Portugal too. They also brought uncapped kid into their squad.
Is Eriksson going to be Stans new assistant?

Jay Tabb and Kevin Foley have been called up to the squad after their U21 game. I assume it was Givens' decision to call them up (just like it was McCaffrey's decision on Dixon) as Tabb only played 15 minutes of the 2 Azerbaijan games because he was playing in the English playoffs.

Why isn't Graham Stack in the squad? He's still at Milwall and might be a good keeper for the future.

I thought he was sub keeper at Reading!!

Perhaps. I sort of lost track of him after the rape trial. I have heard he is a decent keeper though.

I'm quite impressed Staunton forsaw the awful weather we are having this weekend (3 eircom League matches all postponed because of the weather) and took the squad to Portugal. Hopefully, he will have the same foresight over the German formation in Stuttgart in September.

Why isn't Graham Stack in the squad? He's still at Milwall and might be a good keeper for the future.Wayne Henderson played regularly and well during the season, Stack only played cup matches for Reading. In fairness, Hahnemann is a very good keeper at Reading, but Stan's obviously made his call on who the no. 3 keeper is & I've no reason to doubt him on this one. I'd gues that Alan Kelly has some input into this too.
