Glad to read that Sir Bobby is taking his new Irish role very seriously. I wonder if he will make an appearance at an Eircom League fixture.

Ciaran Donnely played for England against Ireland U17's in Tolka some years back and isn't eligible!

i think you can still be eligible as long as you dont represent another country at Under-21 level or above, Under 17's isnt covered, im 90% sure, open to correction all the same

I'm getting a half Tricolour/half George's Cross made up with "Sir Bobby" written across it. That'll look well cool at Croker innit.

I think the Tricolour is out of date. Ireland is now a multicultural multinational society and this is fully realized in our football squad. We need a flag which is inclusive and representative. A flag which represents the different culture and heritage of these fine athletes while at the same time not diminishing the Irishness and Ireland that the team represents. A flag our footballers can truly relate to when they don the green jersey of Ireland.
