If anyone else would be interested - would you like to be able to download a database that allows you to manage in an All-Ireland League?

Currently starting to edit one myself - just seeing if the interest would be there.

Yep would be very intersted alright - although I have been playing it recently due to college work I do plan to get started over the summer again

Basically editing Northern Ireland to become an "All-Ireland League" which is currently being debated about by the FAI and IFA.

I'll be renaming Northern Ireland (purely because it has a bigger League structure) and merging their teams with the teams from the South.

This would mean that "Northern Ireland" would disappear as a national team - thereby freeing up a space in qualification for a new nation

All players born either side of the border would then be eligible to play for a united Ireland team

heh - just realised with constructing the divisions - I get to be John Delaney for a night :D

currently battling through the editing involved in making an All-Ireland League for FM2006 (clubs and stadia done - just wading through changing the nationality of just under 3,000 people)

It also means there is now a United Ireland team that plays half of it's games at Windsor Park and half at Lansdowne Road

First season we get two lots of qualifiers for the European competitions (due to co-efficients and the league changes)

not had chance to run it through to a second season - i'd say that it would revert back to 1 in the CL, 3 in the UEFA and 1 in the Intertoto

Guys I still need details of the following - this is a chance to get as much media realism into the game as possible - which is lacking a bit atm.

What I need is as many media items (newspaper names, tv and radio stations / programmes, fanzine and website details) as possible for the clubs in the eL.

If you can help me with any of this please post in here or drop me a PM

Check the info/resources threads that are stuck at the top of the clubs sections and the eL General Section.

That'll give you a bit of info on media outlets.

You could have seperate teams for Serbia and montenegro, which may occur soon.

The only problem with this is that the spare nations current and future players all have English/Irish names - so I've renamed them as the Isle of Man (the closest non-game nation to the two)

As for the flag and the rest of cosmetic stuff - I am looking at producing an alternative graphics pack for those who don't want to use it.

As for the issue of the regional stuff - I have simply renamed the competitions to something else non-regional.

These competitions have a mixture of North and South sides (clubs from lower down the pyramid in the North and teams from the LSL, Munster Senior, etc.)

Why not the People's Republic of Cork? They have similar names, they speak a different language, and didn't Roy Keane try to set up his own International team there a few years ago? I am convinced I was asked for a passport last time I took the Inter(national)-City Train there:D ;)

How goes the making and testing of the All-Ireland version then? I'm starting to think about getting FM 2006 in order to play it. I had decided to stick with the 2005 edition until this cropped up, and you have me intrigued...
