MTV and WH1 seem to have forgottn music. It appears to be all reality sh!t now.
I use youtube and it's amazing how much good video music out there is available - why does even Kerrang ignore all the great rock over the years except for the occasional Zep video. You never see Deep Purple, Seger, CCR etc on it.

Is it because some record companies are financially involved in these video-music channels so you only see their stuff??

Occasionally, Scuzz shows a broader range of good rock but it too has a lot of crap also.

I guess this really could have a thread of it's own but I was watching MTV one Saturday morning and there was this programme about this spoilt rich girl having a 16th Birthday party. It would make you sick! She got a Range Rover too. Everything was in excess and it was all about material wealth.

Happened upon it again and watched it to see if there might be some balance in the programme but it was worse if anything. The girl making a public display about the people she wasn't inviting just to show they weren't popular.

One thing I noticed though, their parents were seperated in all cases.

Yep, thats Sweet Sixteen. I think its on a few times a week.
Basicially its about rich kids inviting all the "cool kids" from school to their
over the top 16th birthday party. Makes a big deal about having money
makes you popular.

Parents rent out enitre niteclubs for the party, have extra security to ensure
anyone not on the list dosent get in and buy their kids expensive cars and all
that jazz!

All it really suceeds in showing is that both the parents and teenages are
total @rseholes, albiet rich or heavy debted @rseholes

you may be very very old so as sick was around in the 80' and 90's . mainly used by surfers and skaters to describe some thing really good , sick waves or sick jump for example.
