Adam,

If I leave foot.ie for a few mins and return I have to log back in. I'm not even closing the browser and have never had this problem before.

I'm using Firefox by the way and haven't changed any settings. Anyone else having similar problems?

Are you checking Remember Me when you login? It's no longer checked by default.

You may also need to clear your cookies and/or cache, as the forum software was recently upgraded.

I had a similar problem. I was just typing in a rather long rambling and
boring post, but by the time I went to post it the session had timed-out,
which effectively deleted the post.
I am not sure if this is a good thing or not ;) :D

If you don't allow the site to set a cookie (via Remember Me), your session will time out in 900 seconds, or 15 minutes. If you're going to take that long to compose a post, you should copy and paste it somewhere else as a backup before posting.

That's been happening to me for a couple of weeks now, tonight I have decided to try the standard fix - clearing the cookies..and yet it still logs me out again when the Remember Me is checked.....

Did you close the browser after clearing the cookies, and then restart it?

I closed the browser, searched for them and deleted them and then reopened the browser again. I had to get rid of them to use another site, and it's worked for that site, so I'm presuming they are gone.

I'm in 'work' now..but I'll triple check when I get home.

Just to be clear, what you should do is open your browser, go to the tools menu and options, delete the cookies, then close the browser and reopen it and you should be fine then.

It is, as they say, sorted.
