Face, how's about trying to get someone from Genesis on board for a Q&A session? Could be quite interesting and topical.

Lads,

The NLSA approach Genesis with the view to a Fans Forum, and they rejected the proposal.

They claimed that their work was done, and that we should direct all enquiries to the FAI

Though apparently they did an interview with the Shels fanzine recently.

And a foot.ie interview is alot easier for them aswell, questions are just sent on, and i mean ... they already have all the answers !! :)

And if they don't , they can just lift them from some website somewhere!

In fact, Bob Breen positively refused to answer the questions once he saw them, as I recall.

Well, he didn't refuse ...... but they are not answered, and thats what it was about first day, giving answers. I'm not being harsh but a Q&A was always was going to involve that. I suppose no one wants to be in the cross-hair of a firing squad and thats what it must have seemed like at the time.

While I'm delighted with the interviews, I still think that the sheer number of questions being fired at people is a bit much. Fair dues to the people that have taken it on like, particularly the ones that actually signed up for an account, but I think they'll prove to be the exception rather than the rule. I still favour picking n number of questions and presenting them.

They don't have to be lowball questions, just the best of the best.

My 2c (and only my 2c, Face is the boss regarding this).

Yeah, i know what you're saying but when i actually approach them i let them know that ...

They dont have to answer any question they dont want to.
If there are a few question all hitting the same topic but asking different things, then group them together.
Take as much times as you need, we'd understand time commitments etc. so no pressure.
If you dont want to be pigeon-holed and cornered by some particular question, then skip it (if there was a legal angle to it)

And with that said .... alot of the questions are hitting on the same few topics all the time so while there may seem to be alot, there are actually less.

(Here my own opinion)

And to be honest, i think its a great thing to part-take in, seriously if you have info/knowledge to impart to all us eL fans, its a great way to do it. Beats some of the interviews you'd get with journos trying to put words in your mouth.
