Livingston have signed striker Noel Whelan and midfielder Colin Healy until the end of the season.

Whelan, 31, was training at Aberdeen earlier this week after rejecting an initial offer at Almondvale.

But the former Coventry and Leeds forward has now joined until the end of the current campaign.

Whelan said: "I feel good and this is a fresh start for me and the games cannot come quickly."

The duo have both been included in the squad to face Dundee United.

Healy, 25, left Celtic for Sunderland in 2003 but was released by the Black Cats last summer.

Surely, as Weso will soon prove, City would have been a better option than Livvy.

Probably too much of a stigma in some peoples eyes playing in the eL.

Be surpised if Livingston paid much for whats essentially a 2 month trial.

I get what you're saying and I do think City are a better side than Livingston but technically what you are saying is the opposite.

Why would City have been a better option?? Because the competition(league) isn't as strong and it would have been a chance for him to ease himself back into it??

If that's the case then it's not the type of player that City would need at the moment. Not having a dig at all Risteard, just pointing out the reverse logic of it if that makes sense.
