    Kilkenny friendly...

Anyone heading to this by any chance? I'm off on Sunday so I'm considering it on the off chance someone is drving. Though to the best of my knowledge none of you have a car.

I doubt I'll be going. I'm still hoping for a ticket to Ireland - Wales on Sunday and two games in two days might be a bit excessive anyway.

Planning to make both games...Dublin-Athlone on Saturday afternoon, Athlone-Dublin on Sunday morning followed by an immediate hop onto the Kilkenny bus, and then catching the train back home...

Bus departs Busáras at 12:00 and gets in at 2:00 (kick off is 3:00)

Train back leaves Kilkenny at 7:18 and gets into Heuston at 9:08.

I'll be getting the 9:10 bus from Athlone to Busáras, which gets in at 11:10, so should make the Kilkenny bus. Damn two away games in two days!!

How much does all that work out at? The Kilkenny part I mean.

Why would you get the bus down and the train back? A return fare on either would be a good bit cheaper than two singles.

Because the train to Kilkenny leaves at about 9:00 (still in Athlone) and 2:00 (too late for kick-off). Similar problem coming back from Athlone.

There's a bus from Kilkenny at 6:30, should be able to make that surely?

Hadn't thought of that. I just prefer train travel, to be honest.
