Monaghan United Under 12's

Unbeaten in 1 year, Monaghan United Under 12’s brought their winning run to 24 games with a demolition of Muirhevnamor at Century Homes Park on Sunday last. United scored 12 goals without reply in this one sided match to leave them top fo the Premier division. Monaghan were never stretched and with James Clarke and James McAllister playing alongside each other up front, there was only going to be one outcome. By the half way mark James McAllister had scored a hattrick and James Clarke had scored two to leave it 5-0 at the break.

Muirhevnamor never gave up and fought bravely throughout the match. Colin Clerkin scored a brace shortly into the second half. James McAllister scored his fourth goal and his 29th of the season just before James Clarke netted for his hattrick. Cillian Clarke netted a superb strike before Shane Larkin scored from a magnificent solo effort. Not to be outdone, Keith Sheridan kept a cool head to shoot and score a low drive into the corner of the Muirehevnamor net. This was Keith’s first of the season and a just reward for one of the most dedicated players in the squad. While tougher matches lie ahead, this young talented team can feel proud of their achievements to date. Well done lads.
