what's the story with this game on sat?
1. Is it definitely 3.00pm kick-off?
2. Are Sligo still doing this fundraiser thing for themselves at it, where they're giving their fans the chance to play for 20 mins each?
3. Who's travelling to up to it?

And there lies the problem.:(
Myself ,Galwaygirl and a couple of others had planned on going up when we thought K.O was at 3pm.
It's gonna be alot more difficult to get there now....or to be more precise ...to get home!
But im still well up for it!:)

Ya, the later kick-off time is going to cause problems now cause i dont think Feda O'Donnell or Bus Eireann will be doing a bus to Galway that late

Yup AFAIK they don't!:(
Sligo should have hourly departures 24/7 to the capital of Connacht!;)

**EDIT-Departures from Sligo is 7pm and 6 30 pm from Feda and Bus Eireann.**

Ok their reporter can't spell, but

Even Galway is spelt wrong FFS.

Aertel still has not got the result - normal service then :D :D

Well anyhow apparently Dave Goldbey scored a late equaliser for United.

Anyway, it was a fairly poor game. Galway were on top in the first half and us in the second. Lots of substitutions made by both sides, but you expect that in friendlies. Foley and Ryan O'Donnell played for ye in the first half. Played well enough. Raf didn't play but he was at the game. Both sides changed goalies and we also had a goal disallowed for off-side, McT scored it. Not many Galway fans there, times mustn't have suited?. Is Murphy yer main free kick taker for this season? He was fairly poor at taking them last night anyway. He also had a big row with another one of yer players, Levine had to get them to calm down, even Liam Burns intervened and told them to shut up at one point:D. The ref was Paul Deering and (as usual) he was a joke, too strict about everything:rolleyes:.

Good luck this season!

I dont know what happened, but Harty was not happy about been subed.
He came off shouting and pointing his finger at Lally " dont you f*ckin nod your head at me".
He went straight into the dressing rooms. Your coach went in after him, for a wee chat. Harty didn't come out.
Both teams played it on the ground. Good attacks from both teams.
Good Luck for the season.

Strange? that doesn't sound like Mixie?

Galwaygirl, Would you be able to find out what happened?

also he had words with a few other players leaving the field. The funny thing is Foley is suspended for the 1st 3 games so you would think mixie would put his head down and start working to keep his place rather than throwing away his rattle.

Lets hope its not too serious because mixie is a valuable player for us and we will need him this year espically if we are serious about winning the league

Mixie has been one of our best players over the last few years.I really hope they can sort it out because above all years it's players like Mixie you wan't to be there when GUFC get promoted.:)
