Finn Harps Manager Anthony Gorman has added a sixth new signing to his
panel with Bohemians defender Shaun Cooney joining the Donegal club on a
year-long loan. Cooney, a 22 year old centre-back who was born in Perth,
Australia played for Ireland at U-21 level in a 1-0 win over Italy in
Madeira in February 2004. Cooney joined then Premiership Coventry City in
2000, and was later on loan at Woking. Originally a midfielder, he's a
tall, strong defender. He could make his first appearance in a Harps shirt
in a pre-season friendly fixture against St. Patrick's Athletic at
Inchicore on Wednesday evening (15th February).

Cooney joins David Bell (St. Pat's), Marc Mokendi (Derry City), Chris
Malseed (Letterkenny Rovers), Stephen O'Donnell (Sligo Rovers) and Barry
Curran (Newry City) on the new faces list at Finn Park. Gorman is still
working on bringing in some more new faces before the transfer window
closes in eight days time.
