Rovers delighted by license success
The board of Shamrock Rovers has expressed its delight in meeting the requirements for an FAI Club License for 2006. Rovers, which required an appeal to be granted a license last year, was among 21 clubs to meet the required standard at the first time of asking this time round.
A statement posted on the club’s official website read: “The Board of Shamrock Rovers are delighted to say that the club has been informed by the eircom League that we achieved the required standards to comply with the UEFA Licence criteria and have been awarded our licence to play in the league for the 2007 season.
