Ticket allocation from FIFA

I had applied for tickets through www.fifaworldcup.com for 7 matches (5 group games, one second round and the final!). Got e-mail today from fifa that I was allocated only one match (Portugal v Mexico) and they were obstructed view tickets!

Has anybody else got word on their ticket applications yet?

No nothing yet, 2.5 million applicants for 300,000 tickets so the odds are stacked against you from the start.

I got a dear John unfortunatley. Damn this is really a disaster to try and get tickets for!!
next sales phase starts the 15th of Feb and it's first come first served. probably all the crappy games left though

i know the feeling. myself and a mate both applied for 7 matches, two tickets each. a mix of games & a mix of seat categories and all we got were two tickets to Ghana v USA in category 1 in nuremburg

I applied for Poland v Ecuador, Sweden v TT, Portugal v Angola and USA v Czech Republic and got a mail today telling me how to pay FIFA seeing as I was allocated a ticket in the draw, however I never received the original email telling me which ticket I got that they referred to in the payment email....maybe they got John Delaney to look after the emails :rolleyes:

I got VERY lucky applied for 7 games x 3 tickets and got them for games 51 and 54. Both last 16 and if England win their group they will play in game 51.

Have to say I am delighted. A very slight downside is the games are on the 25 & 26 so a little travelling to be done.

My Dad put an application in (for the maximum seven games) and he got a rejection e-mail off Fifa yesterday evening.

I applied for seven (AUS-JPN; TOGO-SK; ANG-MEX; KSA-UKR; ANG-IRN; AUS-CRO; the 2nd rnd game in Nurenburg), looking for one ticket only for the least likely games, and got a PFO for my troubles - I hold Sepp Blatter personally responsible.

I hope that the tickets on the 15th go on sale at some odd pre-work hour that a body might get a couple before Europe wakes up. I presume that we'll be informed of what is available a week beforehand.

I did 11 applications, each one for 4 tickets for the max 7 seven games.

So far I've managed to check 9 of them - ALL Uncessesful. Waiting on 2 people to check their email accounts for me. Not holding my breath though................

dont give up keep trying, and as far as i can see the next phase is being sold on the same basis as the last i.e. lottery not first come first served basis.

We got Portugal v Iran - needed 4 and got 4. Argentina v Ivory Coast, and Ghana v USA (not for me but my brother) and a real lucky one - the Frankfurt qf.

Mexico v Angola proved elusive despite a few applications. I'm OK that day but looks like my brother will be trying on the night.

You're welcome to make any information available to other fans if you wish.

If you check out post #4 and #13 you'll find these contradict your own posts.

"First come, first served" is the order of the day when the fourth 2006 FIFA World Cup™ ticket sales phase opens on 15 February at midday (Central European Time). As in the three preceding sales periods, the retail platform is provided by official website www.FIFAworldcup.com. Ticket supplies will be frequently updated through to the end of the phase on 15 April 2006. The 'new' tickets result from the process of finalising seating plans, and from tickets offered for resale after return for non-payment or other reasons.
"We have one significant difference compared to previous sales phases, the probability of more tickets becoming available later in the phase than at the beginning. Our current priority is the conditional ticket programme. Fans are advised to visit www.FIFAworldcup.com frequently, as the offer will be continuously updated,“ commented OC senior vice-president Horst R. Schmidt.

By the end of February, some 30,000 tickets will have been allocated to participants in the conditional ticket programme. At the weekend, the 2006 FIFA World Cup™ Ticketing Center passed this news in writing to the 61,000 applicants who took out options on a total of 140,000 match tickets between 2 and 30 November 2005. "It is a pleasure to fulfil our pledge to conditional ticket programme participants of a realistic, or indeed an excellent chance, of receiving a match ticket. Just wondering did you get any confirmation from FIFA saying they got the money or anything?? My bank said mine went through alright but have heard nowt back from FIFA :confused: and would rather be safe than sorry!

The money has gone into the Deutscher Fussball account last Friday but on Sunday I got the following e-mail. As I've paid, I'm ignoring this message. If I get confirmation, I'll post it up here.

I did the bank transfer in my own branch of Bank of Ireland and they didn't charge me any fees on the transaction.

You have ordered tickets for the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™ and selected bank transfer as method of payment. Unfortunately we could not register to this day any incoming payment under your name and therefore we remind you that the payment should be completed by the 24 February 2006.

In order to complete your order successfully, we remind you that you need to transfer the due amount on the account we set up for this purpose, otherwise we will have to cancel your order. Should you have already proceeded to the transfer in the meantime, please ignore this information."

It's alright, I've just seen that the Self Service thing is back up and running and it has the status down as 'Paid' for the ticket I was allocated so I can rest easy. :D
