REPORT Seville 2 Bohemians 1

Bohemians started their pre-season campaign with a defeat as the Dublin side lost 2-1 to Seville in a 16-team tournament held in the Spanish city.

Bohs boss Stephen Kenny was proud of his side as they almost earned a draw against a team which finished in the top eight in La Liga last season.

Kenny handed debuts to four players: summer signings Paul McNally, Damien Lynch and Paul Keegan, while young keeper Alan Fitzpatrick impressed after he was promoted from the club's Under-21 side.

Seville's Argentinian striker Toedtli scored two first half goals to the delight of the 2,500 fans in the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium but 10 minutes after the break Glen Crowe, top scorer in Ireland's eircom League for the past two seasons, scored from the penalty spot.
