About the best move he could have hoped for Given the amount of football he's actually played in his career...

I wish him all the best

how the f*ck do you know...i went to skool with the fella and he was irish as anyone, if hes considering now its due to other reasons/pressures, hes played for ireland for years. keep your comments to a subject where you know what your talking about, theres too many tw*ts on here who are all too eager to stick the boot in where it isn't required.

Livehead, calm down ffs. Don't post when you're p1ssed if you can't handle it. Judging by your tirade above I'm not sure you can.

It would seem that yer p!ssed off because someone justifiably questioned the Irishness of yer buddy who you have been championing to all and sundry for ages now. Bet it must be a kick in the balls for one of yer Irish pals to make you look a fool?

nah, not that at all. but i don't know how irish liam lawrence etc etc so i don't bother coming out with daft statements like 'he isn't irish though'. If ya don't know, don't say it. If anyone knew anything bout his upbringing they would realise he is irish, and it would offend him to hear otherwise. O yeh, and this is besides the issue, since when did you have to be irish to play for ireland

Noel and Liam gallagher both have Irish parents. They should be asked are they Irish or English and their answer used as the yardstick for Staunton to decide whether somebody will be committed to the cause.

Apologies. Just seems that if someone is Irish through and through and there's no doubt over it then there isn't a choice is there? Anyway no more leg-tickling from me.

As for Redcap Ramblers....I'll pm you. If I posted it on the forum I could get into an arguement wit a few Francis fans....
