i'm goin narrow in scope here otherwise i'd like to put something from screamadelica, roses, betas:

maybe 'girl with sun in her head' from orbital's in sides. cool change halfway through that one. daft punk's 'da funk' i likee. more modern - 'yeah (crass mix)' by lcd soundsystem, it cycles through just about every style in its 10 or so minutes. also spesh mention to anything off the latter half of m.i.a.'s arular

Depends on your definition of "dance", I s'pose. For me, nothing comes close to Primal Scream - Loaded. Yeah, it may be half done to death at this stage, but there's a good reason for that.

Ah Noel.

You are great reassurance to someone who feels old and cold after a night watching Leinster at Donnybrook.

I even remember who I was going out with when 'Knock on wood' was doing the rounds in 1979. Wasn't it a cover though?

Yes it was a cover of an Eddie Floyd song which had also been covered by Mr. David Jones of Brixton in 1974.

My two favourite dance tracks this week are:-
"Last Train To Trancentral" by the KLF
and " Express" by BT Express

Yep, Eddie Floyd had hit with it in the US I think. Fine looking lady was Ami Stewart.

You snuck in unnoticed at this dance party, but for that nomination you can leave through the side fcuking door. Brutal song. It wasn't just Jason Lee who a had a pineapple on his head....

You should check out the CD2 of Dirty Hits. All the Scream's good songs remixed. Come together and higher than the sun remixed are out of this world.

For me I'll have to nominate The Provate Psychedlic Reel by The Chemical Brothers. My favourite dance song anyway.
Closely followed by Underworlds Dinosaur Adventure 3d or Cowgirl/Rez.

Have Dirty hits, and agree that the remixs are excellent, but I prefer the first cd with the original versions

Not into dance music but if it is for me dancing like an idiot after several pints it has to be Come on Eileen by Dexy's, George Harrison's cover of Got My Mind Set On You, or the Stone Roses' I Am the Resurrection!

 Tell 'em to take off their ID tags and just let their truncheons become like an artists paintbrush when wading into this lot while they're at it. Jesus wept!!!!! :p
