How many Premiership clubs are from Manchester? Everyone knows about the obvious two, but are there more?? As Bolton, Blackburn, and Wigan are also located in and around the Manchester area, are there up to 5 clubs from there, in the league?? :confused:

There are really only 2 Premiership clubs from the city of Manchester, City and United. If you regard Manchester as meaning the region called Greater Manchester, then you can include Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic. As for Blackburn Rovers, they are actually in Lancashire.

I'm sure a couple of years ago the top 5 leagues (including the conference) were all won by teams from greater manchester, can't remember which teams but the likes of Macclesfield, Bury and Rochdale.

Lancashire is the County, which Manchester is also a part of. Manchester has 4 Premiership sides in it, United, Wigan, City and Bolton. Other league teams include Bury, Stockport, Oldham and Rochdale. Blackburn is about and hour outside Manchester.
