It is time to start hearing some names being bandied around - SC states in the paper not to be worried but the exit of brown means we are lighter since he made the comment!

But to be fair SC got us to the prem so we have to trust his judgement!

yeah he has already brought in a couple of lads and id say theres plenty more to follow i suppose its all about quality rather than quantity

yea its a very tight squad at the moment in all areas. but sean will come up with the goods and if you look at the players that have left i would only be disappointed in 3 of them going the rest just wouldnt be good enough.

Sean said that their will be at least 6 more new players brought in for the new season so I'm confident he's telling the truth.

whats need?
at least 2 defenders
2 midfielders
2 strikers....
It say sean was players lined up for all those positions already.

1 defender(cb),3 midfielders(lm,rm,cm) and 2 strikers

i dont think we need an RM as such cos Raf plays best there .

ya but what if he gets injured(god forbid) what are gonna do then..and also we got rid of philip gallagher so i think that raf will be playing right back unless chris turner is tried out there

gustavo

id say turner will play right back but if not this guy peers if he signs can play right back too.

sc was on ocean earlier. no big news or anythin just asking for patience again with regards to signings. actually seemed pist off that ppl didn't have faith in him after last season&rightly so. he said raf hasn't actually signed a contract but they've shook hands on terms and it's only really a matter of puttin pen to paper during da wk. he said that himself&raf sat down&had a good chat about how raf shud improve, with regards to concentration&consistency, now that he's full time. he said that he's trying to sort out a full time deal for mct also this week. he thinks mct will improve no end if he's full time. i defo agree, mct shows flashes of bein really really good but a hell of a lot of times he's like a headless chicken. if his concentration improves he could make a big impact in da premier. he said that there are quality players willing to sign for us but he can't afford them&asked for ppl to keep buying season tickets

how much did brown go for

i think we got most of our money back on him

well i dont know where seans coming from on that but i dont think raf needs any tips about consistency he's been consistent since day one. but anyway its good that he and mct are going full time . i have faith in sean that we will put a decent squad together . on a related note i saw carlos in town today so maybe thats one of our strikers :)

carlos is a good striker in the squad, better than brown anyways.

Thanks be to god raf is staying, i was considering drastic measures

The Stars

the message is get people to buy season tickets now cause we need cash for quality players that sean has lined up no money no players. so it is the duty of every genuine supporter to give everybody a push to buy the season tickets. if you know anybody out there who is caught between two minds about buying a ticket the answer is that there purchase may be the differene between staying up in the premier and going down. thats the message to deliver. i myself have sold 5 for the club(no big deal) but everybit of money commming in now helps. so get going lads because make no mistake about it sean has the quality lined up but they wont wait forever.potentially going forward we can have the best ground in ireland and with sligo town changing rapidly there has to be a lot of new support out there so once again sell the message sligo rovers in the premier division. there is a lot of change going to take place in the next few years in the league of ireland (all positive)and we want to be part of it. enough said come on the bit o red

I think it has been staring us all in the face, as to why Sean hasn't bought a whole lot of players - he obviously knew about the league proposals, and realised there's no point, and would be better keeping the money for the season after.

i think you're well off the mark there soper. if we do sh*t this year there'll be even less money next year
