Just thinking, with the vote prob going to happen (this Thursday?) on the north south split next year, then this years league (due to commence) would mean no promotion/religation. Rem 5 teams from the prem div of, 6 from the first division =11. This would leave us with two years to get our off the field items in order such as stadium etc as we would not be able to get a prem licence after the initial 11 team southern league finishes, assuming we qualify for the prem division. Just a thought but worth building a team this year to push for the big prize on and off the field the following season, cos after the experiment in two years and you dont make the cut/dont have a team, attracting good crowds/stadium not sorted, well the only way is down!

What?
I was just thinking about the vote (what?) which is likely to go ahead this Thursday. This vote is to do with some form of north south divide. Next year (????). This years league is equal to no promotion and it is also equalled to no relegation. Michael Stipe. Five teams from the premier division of. Six from the first division is added to make a sum of eleven. This would leave Limerick with two years to get their off the field items in order such as stadium etc as they would not be able to get a Uefa premier licence after the initial 11 team southern league finishes, assuming we qualify for the prem division (don't ask!). Just a thought here now, but would it not be worth building a team this year which would push for some sort of Dolan-size prize on and off the field the following season, because after this experiment in two years and you dont make the cut/dont have a team attracting good crowds/stadium not sorted, well the only way is down!
That's as good as i can do. I couldn't bring myself to look at the last sentence and i didn't really make anything clearer for myself in the earlier sentences.
Punctuation gael353, punctuation!
What vote are you on about?
I heard Henderson on about things off the field being as important this year as on so i was wondering what that was all about myself.:)

Oh chill out people, I'm sure gael353 won't take it to heart.
The north/south thing is quite possibly the worst idea in the history of football anyway so I can't see it coming to pass.

That North/South split idea was voted down a few months ago I think but who knows what crazy ideas they'll actually implement.

Come on.
I'm not too out of order here now.
I was interested in the title of the thread but was lost reading parts of his post. You can't claim that i know what he is on about or that it was obvious what he was getting at.
Anyway, what's this "other criteria" that first division managers are talking about?
Does it just mean that not having a premier licence means you won't get into the premier division if you finish top?
Henderson was saying something along the lines of there being a committee and possibly 3 or 4 teams getting promoted on grounds other than their position in the table.
