Best Ever Eircom League site, for the league in general and a club's?

For the Eircom League, has to be the old www.eircomleague.net, Johnny Ward's site. No site was close in back in the day, and so site has come close since.

For a club, I don't think that any is acceptional (though some look very good) toss of a coin between the current Cork, Pats and Shels sites.

Has to be JW's site alright. On the club side i know a few clubs are redesigning their sites for the new season.

My current favourite eL site is Irish Football Online

http://www.irishfootballonline.com

The photographs from the matches are particularly good.

Spoke to him by phone in April last year - he's working for Setanta Sports doing some match reports on the domestic game for the website iirc

I've seen him a couple of times knocking around with JC

Foot.ie's the best for me.
The number of things I've learned here about what's going on in the EL and abroad is amazing.
Take a bow all you Footypersons.:)

Apart from foot.ie, I mention ShelsWeb (shelbournefc.ie), dublincityfc.net, shamrockrovers.ie and even Kildare County surprised me a lot site-wise
I think lot of EL clubs have decent sites.
Also, A Face's site on the EL grounds is great.

Official site by the FAI is a disgrace. Updates always very slow, much slower than the club sites. Knowing that lot of clubs have a volunteer webmaster while the FAI can afford a professional one, it's a disgrace that several clubs are more up-to-date than the FAI's EL site.

Yeah i used to do a bit of writing etc... for the site and it just stopped, don't even know myself

At present, the best is quite simply foot.ie, no other site comes near. A lot of press reports and stories start here......

Forum waas great but he was far too much up his own hole.

The forum was a joke!
I had about 10 different handles and would stage massive arguments with Philo and his multiple handles.

My more well known handles on there were CCFC and Barry's Tea.

Ah, they were the good old days when you could post what you liked.
Got a bit hairy in Amsterdam in 2000 when I met some Rovers fans who were giving it loads, "You're the CCFC bloke, aren't ya!?"
Had a good laugh about it after.

Rovers used to play in the Premier Division in those days and had a good following.

That old forum was so funny - got through many a workday on there. No rules and multiple handles made it funnier. Lord Dublin - so funny. Then SRFC Thief stole the forum and burned it in a field.

:D Good times, good times. They should bring back something similar - foot.ie GONE WILD! - maybe best to host it separately from the rest of foot.ie so no-one gets sued

I know, but it is still scandalous. The FAI can afford professional webmasters to update the site constantly. And then their site is less up-to-date as most club sites, while most of these club sites are maintained by volunteers who do it after their daytime job. I mean, something's not right if the FAI is behind on its own clubs internet-wise.
