What the hell is wrong with you? Showing a tiny article that says he played for Dundee United doesn't prove he didn't play for Saint Johnstone. Roverstillidie didn't even deny he played for Dundee United. What are you proving? You think Saints fans voted him on the poll by accident?

LOL! LOL!

Ok bohs fan. Read this slowly:

Since 1987, Arkins has had spells with Home Farm, Dundee United, Shamrock Rovers, St Johnstone, Shelbourne and Notts County, for whom he scored eight goals in 38 league appearances between 1995 and 1997.

He left Rovers in November 1991 to sign St Johnstone. Broke his leg soon after over there but scored against the Old Firm.

While looking for info on Arkins I found this on an old St. Johnstone website in a match report from a 1-0 defeat to St. Mirren in 2001.

"Little happened in the early stages with Saints keeping the Buddies pinned into their own half but at the same time showing all the threat of a Vinny Arkins header."

:o thats got to be embarassing!!

Anyway, Arkins to score 18 competitive goals this season, 7 of them in the cups - but to no avail... ;)

In his heyday Arkins was a prolific goalscorer. I saw him twice this season and he looked a pale shadow of his former self. I wish him well but honestly believe he is "done".

I count 3 Bohs cast offs there, all of whom have never proved themselves at any level ... And you're trying to take the **** out of Bohs buying a player who has proven himself at a high level? Take a look at your own club before you criticise others, really, Rovers are a shambles! Looking at the signings you've made I reckon we'll give our u-18's a run out against you if we meet you in either of the cups!

you are dead right. its a great bit of business by farrelly. 1,300 a week for a player who has been part time for pushing 10 years is a great idea. dont let the universal sound of laughter put you off!

we have signed young part-timers who know the first to get us out of the first division mire first time. how silly of us is that. i mean, having a sensible approach to budgeting for players is soooo stupid. you are the way to go, taking yet another expensive gamble on a former hoop, because palmer,
grunt, keddy and o'brien were fantastic signings for you.

hand on your heart, this is a dire, panic, signing and you know it.

Say what you want about Palmer and Grant, but Keddy was a good signing and O'Brien was bought as a player for the future and clearly has bags of potential.

which bit is specualtion? his age? farrelly signing him? the fact he has been a part time footballer for nearly 10 years? or the wage?

if im wrong, perhaps you will correct me about what is he earning, and bear in mind i was told this by a member of your club, who was doing his nut about 'a geriatric rovers **** on 1300 a week'?

just because i wont tell you the name of the member involved does not make this signing any better.

Your comment of Arkins being on 1300 a week is total and utter bull ****, that member you know must be very gulllible, ive just had a mail off a very close pal of mine who's directly involved with the board and who took part in Arkins signing and his wages aren't close to what you're quoting!

8th is the new 11th is it?

I won't dredge up the old *Points deduction/Expulsion from the League* saga as I really can't be arsed to waste the bandwidth on it.

Right lets get to the point, to hell with history ... Bohs are in the premier division and have their own stadium and a smashing group of players and of course Vinny Arkins.

Rovers on the other hand are in the first division, are STILL waiting on their ground to be finished, and have a very ordinary squad this season!

Now really have you not got a bit of building work or something like that to be doing?
