View Full Version : Pat Devlin Advisor/Scout/Agent/Manager Thread
2 things Roo:
1. Kearney was not offered less than what he was on, he was offered more, but he wasn't happy with the offer.
2. Devlin WAS involved with Kearney. That is absolute fact. To what extent I don't know, but I do know that the grubby little knacker was involved.
I believe Eanna 100% on this and it's not the only source I've heard it from either.
Roo, as I said, the offer Kearney was made was not great but I know for a fact (i.e. Liam told me) that it was an increase on what he was already on so if you're lying about that I'm certain that either you're lying about Devlin too ot your source has used you to spin a story for them on here.

and as I said before, if that IS true, Bray should take action.
Would probably do them more harm than good to highlight the issue.

I have'nt ignored your points at all, it's not a theroy, it's what ive been told and i would always trust my very reliable sources and contacts...... They have never let me down before so why should i disbelieve them now ?
I guess that's where we'll have to leave it Roo, because I know for a fact that they've lied to you at least once with respect to Kearney's contract, so while you might trust them on the Devlin issue, I certainly don't.
Have any facts been put by either side, although I'm not sure how Devlin can prove a negative, time for the Cork accussers to put up or shut up, imo.
Christ one side's hearsay has to be taken as gospel, the other sides hearsay isn't true.
No not at all, you are completely 100% wrong
Not even close actually
Which means it was so!!!!!

That's a bit unfair on Roo, he's been told a story by people he trusts and he believes it to be gospel, it's obvious he's going to think the exact opposite position is untrue.
Which means it was so!!!!!
Is it really ?
I'm a little :o for ya really being so wrong, but it's great to have your much valued input yet again on various Bray issues, keep up the good posting

So you were following them for 9 or so years before they were in the league or ireland ?
And in fairness, it's hard to follow them for that period of time whena lot of us would'nt be even thyat old !
As i said, great to have a poster with such wise words

Fair play to ya, but very surprised that you have been following so so long and your not involved in th club, ya must be the longest serving supporter who actually does'nt do anything to help the club, well apart from your season ticket money that is.....
I support the team home and away like most fans do didn't know you had to help out in the background now to be a fan did that rule come in when you joined up?

Do you know something i don't ? i never mentioned once that you HAD to help out, what i said was i was surprised that because you have been supporting them from when they were in the LSL, you are not more involved in the club

Nahh i love the club and the game i'd leave the running of it to the experts

Nah you would'nt be running the club, that would be just crazy ! but we always need more help on match days selling programes, security and the likes......

Well obviously i wouldn't be running the club hence i said the experts do that.
I'll stick to being a fan for now.
Which of the above do you do on match days?

I do my work outside match days actually, trying to bring a few club into the club Via advertising, tough job but was successful enough last season doing it. Virtually a full time job which i do not get paid for on top on my own job

Fair play i always admire people like yourself who do that sort of work of your own free time.

You do great things for the club ROO and as far as i know i think we will take you up on your offer of the player sponsorship! But i like doing the fan thing. Believe me, i'd love to help out and i have before on numourous occasions but being a fan you need to be there. Getting the atmosphere going. It's kinda like a task to get all the flags up(Grasshopper take a big bow), getting the drums ready etc etc. I don't know who RAFA B is but help in that quarter would be appreciated. Where do you stand at matches? Would you like to become a ''member of the shed''? The more the merrier!

I H8 CORK... God this thread is ****ing me off so much. Since Cork won the league it seems they are always right..(the fans) Nobody said that they are but it seems they have that attitude. I liked Cork before but my god my liking has gone downhill ever since the league win! You guys on here think that everything about Cork City is done in the right manner and anything that is said about your club or involves your club whether it be right or wrong you go on the defensive so much. It seems that nobody elses opinion matters(again not siad by anyone). Why don't we call this site Cork fans.ie!
I was talking to a few people from the 'upper echelons' of CCFC over the last few days and it seems the Devlin story is completely true.

Yes of course they were lying, I'm lying too and so was Eanna when he first posted the topic.
Yourself, Devlin et al are, on the other hand, a bastion of truth and integrity!

Where did we say everything done by CCFC is done in the correct manner? Our club has a load of issues and problems, take a spin over to our official site and you'll see plenty evidence of that, and of our admitting it.
But that's not the function of this thread, the discussion is on whether Pat Devlin was involved in Liam Kearney's (now looking botched) deal with Heerenveen.
Well then there lying to you
Roo, that's just sad, even though you've avoided commenting on it, Colm and I both know that what you wrote about the Kearney deal is factually incorrect. So either you made it up to add credence to what Grogan/Devlin/whoever told you, or they made it up when telling you.
That's something for you to answer for yourself.
