I got a warning for a post on the GUFC forum which was meant totally tongue in cheek and i know that most of the posters will see it that way but some people need to mellow out a bit!Was that the betting one? If so, ffs, why would anyone warn you for that? I didn't see any Galway fans complain about it either.

Gustavo ... you were warned because someone complained, in fairness you must realise that it could have been seen as trolling, i know you mightn't have intended to troll but the fact is it was picked up that way.
Lads tension is high at the moment, if people just ease back a bit and try and avoid all the strife then it wont be a problem.

Posted a reply and a message came up something bout admin checking posts and if it passed would be posted?
The answer is [or was, merged now] two threads down. You couldn't scan the thread list before posting?
Pa and we say the FAI is gone like Hitlers Germany. Ken Shabby hang ure head in shame!!!!!!!!!!!You expect me to answer your PM (AND the email you sent via the site, which I call spam) after talking to me like that? Would you like a ban? Because you're on the right road child...
I got a warning for a post on the GUFC forum which was meant totally tongue in cheek and i know that most of the posters will see it that way but some people need to mellow out a bit!No gustavo, you need to stay out of there, like you and all Sligo fans were told a month ago (http://foot.ie/showthread.php?t=31927). And you a mod. What kind of example are you setting? Is there any reason why you should stay mod of the Sligo forum, in light of that fact that you haven't been able to control the trolling in your forum, and find this kind of behaviour acceptable?
Given the idiocy of the past few days, i.e. mods breaking rules, sligo and galway fans not having the brains to parse a thread list, me being spammed, I'm not really seeing a reason to open these forums back up again. If you really feel the need for you posts to appear immediately, I suggest you find another site. Then maybe the fans with brains can have an actual discussion.

No gustavo, you need to stay out of there, like you and all Sligo fans were told a month ago (http://foot.ie/showthread.php?t=31927).That was the original thing Adam but then you changed it so that both fans could post in each others forum as long as it wasn't trolling.

That was the original thing Adam but then you changed it so that both fans could post in each others forum as long as it wasn't trolling. It was obvious that gustavo's post could have been viewed as a troll by Galway fans. He shouldn't have posted it. "Tongue in cheek" is a lame excuse up there with "banter".

ok then i would appreciate it if you unmodded me from that forum then if thats the way you feel i couldnt be bothered dealing with that kind of rubbish

Fair enough. I don't want to deal with the rubbish either, but I had to...
Its now well over a week and the Galway United Forum is still being blocked which makes it useless for spreading news about GUFC. Our forum was one of the busiest on here but now its ground to a halt!!!!!!!!
how about the mods for the forums taking over reviewing the posts? Im here mainly during normal working hours (8- 5)and GalwayFrancis is around in the evenings so the posts would be getting through much faster?
Its only an idea, but the block would still be in place but with less of the hassle for both sides? If it doesnt work then lock them up and throw away the key, if it does work after a period of time the block can be removed and everthing can go back to normal.

Our forum was one of the busiest on here but now its ground to a halt!!!!!!!!If you're an example of the type of poster we're turning away gufct, I won't be shedding a tear. Why don't you be off to another site?
how about the mods for the forums taking over reviewing the posts?I don't mean to be a pr1ck Terry, but it has to be said: If you'd be able to do it with moderation in place, why weren't you able to do it when it wasn't? The cross-forum trolling was going on for months.
If you just weren't around to do it, fair enough, but if that was the case you should've said so I couldn've replaced you.

Terry was doing a reasonable job moderating our forum. The problems stemmed from a small minority of young supporters trolling on other fora.
Ken, our forum is very important to the GUST for fundraising, buses, lotto etc. We would be lost without it. Please let Terry and GF moderate it on a trial basis.
PD.

Sorry Patrick, but Galway fans were very nearly as guilty of trolling in the Sligo forum as Sligo fans were of trolling in the Glaway forum. It wasn't equal, but it wasn't fair off.
Terry, do you want to mod it again? GalwayFrancis? Will you make sure it doesn't happen again?
Sorry to sound like a bitch like, but I just don't have time for this.
adam
HI Adam,
All trolling was dealt with on the GUFC forum, the problem with the GUFC supporters that were taken the mick occured on other forums which were out of my hands. There was two main culprits for us that are now (i hope) banned premanently. I can guarantee that Myself and GF will control our forum to the highest, strictest level from now on to make sure it stays this way.
Its like the old saying, you dont know what you have until its taken away from you.

I think everything would ba alot easier for both GUFC fans and the admin team if Terry and Francis were moderators.

Sorry Patrick, but Galway fans were very nearly as guilty of trolling in the Sligo forum as Sligo fans were of trolling in the Glaway forum. It wasn't equal, but it wasn't fair off.I think that's unfair Adam. Both fans were equal. I can think of 3 Rovers fans who trolled the Galway forum regularly and I can think of 3 Galway fans who done the same with our forum. To say that it was our fans more so is wrong. It was definitely equal and in fact, this whole thing with modding the forums came about when two particular Galway fans trolled. Things had calmed down until these two lads(I think we all know who I'm on about) started it up again. I'm not trying to blame people or cause a row here but I just think it's unfair you saying that we did it more.

Right, Terry is mod of Galway again, however I'm leaving it moderated for another while because it gets people into a routine of posting moderately. Again, it worked for the Ramblers forum, it'll work here. If Francis is interesting in moderating alongside Terry, he can post here or PM me, I'm not taking it for granted.
Same goes for the Rovers forum if Gustavo and Paraic are interested.
sligoman, I'm just going by what I saw, and had to deal with.

thanks for waiting for me to reply, before re-moderating me, but i'd love to take over the job again. i can garauntee myself and terry will do a better, stricter job this time round.
