Well its time to say goodbye. Im finishing up this week at work so i said i would say goodbye now cos its going to be a busy week. Ill miss you all. I know they have the internet all over the world and can log on any time but hopefully I wont be cos ill be too busy drinking and having a good time.

From Robbie Williams to Bertie Aherne to John O’Shea we’ve had our laughs (mostly about John O’Shea!) but I really have to say that I was really surprised that a group of Football Fans were actually interesting and intelligent I thought it was just me, even the EL fans had something interesting to say, amazing!

Sir Hamish good luck wit your eyes you’re a very intelligent man, GT hope u find that special man, Peadar ur a great bloke ur making some1 very happy, Zinedine you’ve been quite for awhile but I admire your opinions,

To all the Coaches you’re an intelligent bunch, Tarzan you will prob make the news wit that famous picture of yours, Finlma sorry I disagree wit you so much but your honest and obviously know wat your talking about , Paul O’Shea, 2 words web legend Craftytoepoke, ive never met a man that his name describes him so well just not in the football sense and Drinkfeckarse I wouldn’t have enough time to write about how great you are and I couldn’t be arsed only joking ur one in a million and anyone else on the site your great.

Well enjoy what you can of the World Cup, I would have to be going to Oz where none of them can believe that Australia made it but im not worried we will be at the next one and before that the Euros.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Talk to you soon

Happy Christmas, Eire06..........hoping to get to Galway city this week for a small bit of shopping (always include Amnesty Shop in that) if I can bribe the sister to drive me there.:D

*ignores Hamish's blatent snub of Sligo City*

:D.

Is Sligo done up nice for Christmas Sligoman??? Seriously?? Any pics?

I mean, has the Town Council budgeted for that one coloured bulb they hang
in Abbey Street each year. I do also hope they light the little candle in it this Christmas.:p

Sligo "lights up" for Christmas
http://images.google.ie/imgres?imgurl=http://www.czimages.com/CZMemories/Photos/burning_house3.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.czimages.com/CZMemories/Photos/burning%2520building3.htm&h=429&w=300&sz=164&tbnid=_W28Mz38VcMJ:&tbnh=123&tbnw=86&hl=en&start=38&prev=/images%3Fq%3DBurning%2Btowns%26start%3D20%26svnum% 3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26sa%3DN

TBH Beeslow's lights aren't great this year. We have the ususla stringed lights across streets (pity so many of the bulbs aren't working) plus the usual lit fixtures here and there. :o

Merry Christmas SirH and hope you have a Happy NewYear...:)
Galway is great for shopping but it is mad busy, you can't move and people are starting to get vicious... it can be dangerous so be prepared.. bring a large umbrella or something to fight off the mad people with prams (used as battering rams) and bags...
Good Luck:o

I was one of the vicous people on Saturday in Galway. I was sick of people walking in front of me so I took to walking like in the video for Verve's Bitter Sweet Symphony. I knocked over a few old ladies but I got home quicker :D

There's only one city in the West of Ireland ;)
Stop kidding yourselves just cause you're up in the premier division this year you are getting all cocky
The likes of Cork, Derry and Shels will soon put you in your place and remind you that you are just a little town in the West of Ireland ;) (Like ahascragh)

finlma I don't blame you you just get so frustrated with the crowds

Anyway this is off topic!! we should be wishing Grainne the best on her trip away

Large umbrella?? Nah, I'll use my trusty walking stick or just charm them away. LOL

Yeah, Sligo??? If you want to find it, Eire06, try those rough trade guides to strange places. I hear it's got some connection to Borneo. I found this quote

"A wild place with the constant threat of violence and robbery, The inhabitants display a feral dislike for strangers with aggresive gestures leaving visitors in no doubt about their meaning. Local language contains a limited vocabulary with gestures, hand signs and grunts being the predominant means of communication. Buildings are built using local materials and are a combination of dried mud, stone with wattle roofs. As many as three families reside inside these tiny, one-roomed structures and most buildings have blood-coloured emblems attached - signs in deference to and to appease their local Gods. Tourists are advised to travel there in groups and to employ a friendly (if you can find one) local person equipped with a fire-arm for their protection"

Oh, and I believe Borneo is a wild place too.

Funny you should mention Ahascragh Eire06 - I ran the Connacht Primary Schools Finals there once and a teacher with a visiting Slgo school thought the facilities were amazing. LOL God's truth, true story.:D :D

I'm sure you'll be fine then SirH as long as you are prepared for the madness...:D

It was probably a match between St. Cuan's of Castleblakeney and your school. About 10 years ago Castleblaneney's pitch was being upgraded so they probably moved the game to Ahascragh which is only a few miles away.

The only reason I mentioned it, Eire06, is I was also helping to run the girls schools secondary comps. as well at that time:) Not being too nosey, seriously.:o
