I found a Longford Leader from August 1990 with a report from a Bord Gais League Cup first round match. I thought some of you younger wan's might find it interesting (and older wan's too). We were well and truly hammered by Limerick City. There was nothing strange about that at the time of course, it was just another beating for the Town..... I just think it may put the season just gone into some sort of perspective for people who thought we had a poor one.... Just for the record, the Town manager was Ron Langford and the line-up was, Anthony Keenan, Seamus Finnegan, John Skeffington, Declan McGoldrick, Noel Brady, Andy Spring, Pat Hackett, Frances Mooney, Peter Dillon, Gavin Drummond, David Flaherty. Subs: Patrick Duffy, John Downey.
