He was part of theTrinidad team that beat Bahrain in the world cup play offs. Although he didnt leave any fond memories behind, it would be nice to see a former Town player at the world cup finals!! I'm guessing that he's the only player to gain full international caps while playing with Longford and wondered if anyone knew how many caps he got while playing with us?
Saw this interview with him online:

 that answer to question 18 is controversial! not too surprised from the likes of him! avery was with us less than a year so it is very hard to know how many caps he won while with us? did eric lavine not win a trinidad and tobacco cap whilst playin with us?

Fairly sure avery didnt win any caps while with us and would be very suprised if lavine won any considering he's from barbados!

Or how many clubs he's currently registered with, or how many "poorly" relations he's using as cover....

SW Online - 18: Are all of your legal wrangling with Longford Town, Orlando Pirates and FIFA over ? What exactly was the nature of the dispute ?

AJ: Yes, it is all over. Can't go into details. Longford Town was wrong, over reacting and being stupid.

The nerve of the CNUT:mad:

By the way he plays with New England Revolution. Was voted one of the top defenders in the league last season.

Yeah but current EL player Joey Ndo went to the last two world cups :) He was on the bench when Ireland drew with them.

Not to mention was hailed as heroic by some of their press in helping them to qualify, IIRC. ;) (In the one before last, I think)

Bit beyond the time limit, but Dave Norman played for UCD from 1982 to 1985 and played for Canada in the 1986 World Cup. Possibly the shortest time between playing for an eL team and playing in the World Cup?
