My internet's been broken at home for a few days and I suspect that a virus' has got to it. Basically it won't connect to the net but when I go to Networking tab of Performance manager it shows my connection at operational.
I investigated it a bit and found that the problem was to do with the "lease until" part of the connection. It basically renews itself every 30 seconds insted of whatever the norm is supposed to be (not sure).
I found it here.
Control Panel > Network Settings > Internet Connection > Support Tab > Details.
There underneath the ip address etc, it has the lease time, which seems to be the problem.
I searched the internet and some guy had the same problem with a router, which he reinstalled and set the lease time to "infinite". Now I don't have a router so can't do that and don't know if I should reinstall my modem or what.
Any ideas?
