...well has anyone pulled out an album they havent listened to in a few years or more possibly and thought, thats a quality album still.
just took out
appetite for destruction and incesticide and thought almost 20 years and 16 years on ( respectively) they still sound quality.

I was annoying the neighbours last night with My Bloody Valentine-Isn't anything, still good to hear it every now and again, was also playing Sebadoh-Harmacy,a must if you haven't got it.
I found A Catholic Education lastnight. On tape. A bit muffled (more-so than the original production), but I'd forgotten how much I loved that album. Time to upgrade to cd, me thinks.

Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magic is still the best Chilli's album.
There's a whole host of 70s albums that are still quality.

Listening to Mosely Shoals yesterday.
Love that feeling of
"Oh, remember how good that was" so i always try to not overdo my favourite albums especially my indie90s favourites.

Pulled out "parklife" by Blur the other day, still a great album.
Put on Rafi's Revenge by the Asian Dub Foundation last week - really forgotten how good it was.
Must admit, most of the stuff I listen to would be 10 years old at this stage - and to think I swore it would never happen. :D

I'll put the farm on me being the only person on foot.ie with 'Laughing At The Pieces' by Doctor & The Medics in his vinyl collection.
Fantastic record ...full of energy, poetry and swirling melodies galore. It also rocks like a fcuker. Every time I hear Kaiser Chiefs I think I hear loads of the Medics in them. Sometimes in Killers stuff too though without Killers annoying 80's synth (ironic?) Beyond that think bits of the damned, the cult, the kinks...
I can't even call it an underrated album as most never even bothered rating it good or bad.
It was released in 1986 on IRS just after surprise chart topping cover of Norman Greenbaums 'Spirit in the Sky' went to number 1 all over the shop.
It made the top 10 for one week in june 86.
I still chuck it on from time to time when I need a pick me up.

Went searching for Def Leppards On through the night last weekend only to discover that the disc had been broken in half while moving house so i had to order a new one on Amazon.

Les Rhythems Digitales are brilliant even still - France always produces the best house music. Jacques Le Cont is still bringing out the best mix albums - have a listen to his Fabric album.

I've plundered the past again to find an interesting musical thread.
Moved house recently and had a lot of painting to do - which offerd me the opportunity to listen to a rake of old albums. Among which I recently listened to:
The La's - The La's - still a great album. Liberty Ship, There She Goes and Looking Glass are timeless.
Supergrass - Life on Other Planets - Not for everyone, but I think its quite an underrated album. Really enjoyed re-vistiting this record. Grace is a great tune.
Neil Young - After the Goldrush An undoubted classic but I genuinely hadn't listened to it for about 5 years.
The Pixies - Bossanova -

If it quacks like a duck. Now if it'd been a live album I'd have said grand scale pub rock. But pub rock no less.

Just confirmed a Limerick date for October 14th. I assume they'll be doing Dublin and a couple of more too. Not to be missed live!!!
EDIT: ...and I'm wrong ...there's no Dublin gig. Not scheduled yet at any rate unless they slip something in on Thursday 11th or their return trip for Sligo Live.

Listened to Chemical Brothers-Surrender the other day, and its still absolute top drawer. Forgot how good it was. I'll add to that Garbage's debut album. Also randomly heard Air-Moon Safari and that was pretty good in its day too, great to hear records you'd forgotten about.
