Yes that was a huge positive from this season but had an awful lot to do with location as well as performances especially when it comes to nothing games like the final one against Kildare which would have attracted approxiamately 20 people to Pike. The move to Rathbane was always going to be beneficial because Limerick always had a sort of hardcore couple of hundred in the Carew Park, Rathbane, Janesboro, Weston area who just didn't go to Pike.

Can't wait for the bumper Shamrock Rovers Crowds next season :ball:

Hi all just joined great site, just this to say, moving to rathbane, didn’t they do that a long time ago and I recall all including the media calling it a white elephant, of coarse ignorant to the fact limerick was getting bigger and bigger, now its in the centre basically,if they stuck at it it would be one of the best around, just needs to be ran right.

Now wouldn't it be nice if we could make the same improvement next season!:)

The crowd was definitely the biggest (only? ;))positive to take out of this season. Hopefully we will be improving other aspects such as stands and performance to bolster this.

Shur how would you know, you were never there ;) :D .

I would have taken several more positives out of the year myself, though maybe not as many as we should have got :ball:

Then you obviously didn't come to Terryland  or you can't count.

With all due respect I'm a bit baffled by this seemingly immense and amazingly noisy Galway crowd that's apparently in situ in Terryland Park these days... they must have been on strike or something the day I was there because there was nothing to seperate them from ourselves, Sligo, Cobh, the kids at Buckley Park last time out or even the unwashed masses at Oriel.

This isn't intended as a criticism either, I just didn't see anything to seperate you from much of the rest of the division.

1st of all Sligo didnt outnumber us in Terryland.
2nd of all:How either off yee(Sligo or Limerick) can say we don't make noise is laughable....especially considering we made more noise than both off yee at both away matches this year and not one song from the home support at either ground. But yee know that. Also Red4Eva we made much more noise than yee at terryland both times this year.....BTW for the second game the attendance was 1008 and yee had about 200 fans so that would be 2 games this year where there was singing and yee didn't outnumber the home support.

Wow, the Sligo fans can't count and the Galway fans are deaf it's great to see so many people with disabilities are welcome in Eircom league grounds  :D

Get over yourselves and your wonderful support, a couple of shapers hanging around a drum in the oh so clean and tidy surrounds of Terryland Park. A more souless place I'm yet to visit in the Eircom League. (And for Terryland Park it could just as easily read Galway City itself.)

BTW, Unreal Madrid our corner flags make their corner flags look like crap :p

We shouldn't start slagging off corner flags. Not when we had to play with brush handles a few seasons ago. :o
